biological and internet engineering

Hi! I'm Tim. I'm a biomedical engineering researcher studying ways to reduce the inflammatory response to implanted materials. I am a PhD student at the University of California, Irvine in Dr. Wendy Liu's lab.

Previously, I was an applications engineer with Boreal Genomics in Vancouver, BC, developing protocols for a novel electrophoretic DNA purification system. I completed my undergraduate studies at Olin College, outside Boston, in December 2009.

My extracurricular interests include data visualization, finding new music, swimming, rabble-rousing, and reading.
