Hi! I'm Tim D. Smith. I just completed my studies at the Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering in Needham, Massachusetts in December 2009. I am presently working for a research device startup in Vancouver, British Columbia. Things I like include coffee, biology, the Internet, people, and progressive activism.

I grew up in, near, and around Fairfax, Virginia. I graduated from TJHSST, the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria, Virginia, in 2005.

Places I have recently worked include UC Berkeley (summer 2009), Arsenal Medical, Nevadans for Hillary (Dec '07-Jan '08), Human Rights Campaign (fall 2007), Caltech SURF (summer 2007), and the less-impressive-than-it-sounds Federal Office of Compliance. All the juicy details are in my LinkedIn profile.

I don't have a regularly maintained blog, but I do have a list of places you might be able to find me on the Internet.

You can catch me on email or Google Talk as tim at tim dash smith dot us. I look forward to hearing from you!
